trust and obey

Ella woke up with a song on her heart and was singing it all morning.

Then she bowed. It made my morning.

Then Ki needed a video of himself. (Note his wrist. He said he was going to wear the tape thing all the time. Ha!)

And last but not least, Bro started saying bye-bye lay night. So cute!

Elle-isms (27th ed.)

“Ki. Yeh mudder ses don’t carry him around!”

“My baby’s cute as a little fly.” -Ella

Ella whining… “Momma, Ki’s calling me booty shake!”

You will be pleased to know that while I was wrapping presents today, Miss Bella Ella surveyed my ribbon container and pronounced, “All my presents will be pink!” – Gramma

She’s admiring herself and her makeup job.

I love that, the majority of the time, Ella calls me Mudder.

Muffin and tea with Gwammy. She picks out the chocolate.

Ella loves her new Christmas dress. She put it on and said she was a dancing geal. :)

Ella has requested to be called Buford (from Phineas & Ferb). And is growling in response to people. And her baby doll is Baljeet.

Looking forward to Ella waking up in the morning. She is SO excited for her doll diapers. I had to buy some “belcro” this evening to finish them. She giggled and woohoohoo’d about the ones with flowers and butterflies. Could she be more adorable?

Ki is in his room for a little discipline. Ella went in to talk to him. I just heard her as she was coming out saying, “Don’t come out, or I’ll spank yuh.” Hah! Then she went back in (after being reminded that she doesn’t spank him) saying, “Didja come out or anysing?”

Ella to Fenton: You can choke those legos, but don’t grab any of my things!

Ella was pulling her pants/underwear down to get her diaper on for bed when Ki walked downstairs.

Ella:  “Kiiii. I’m gon be inapopiate. I’m gon be inapopiate, Ki! Yer gon see my buuuutt!” pulls her bottoms down, turns around and wiggles her bum while yelling, “Booty shake!!”

Ki:  Do it again, Ella!!

Ella:  Booty shake!!

Ki:  Do it again, Ella!!

Ella:  Booty shake!!

“I like hearts. And buttuhflies. Buttuhflies ah reely impessive. They have wiiiings and can flyyyy.”

“Mom! Dad was low because he wanted ice cream.”

Tapping elbow… “This is my nippo.” Then she and Ki had a discussion about nipples and had to look at theirs.

Ella’s duplo gun has a presser, not a trigger. :)

Ni-night Rehab

Ella loves her blanket. A little obsessively. It was Mike’s baby blanket. Ki used it a bit, but Ella really latched on to it. I’ve reinforced it a bit once before. Sewed around a couple holes and around the edge where it was starting to come apart. It is so loved.

But once again, it was coming apart. Worse than before. Ella took to the binding that was ripped off the body of the blanket and would wrap it around her finger and then stick her middle finger in her mouth.

It even made it trick or treating. Sleeping doesn’t go as well without it. Also, she’s slightly territorial about it. If Fent grabs it she will say, “Stop! Gwamma didn’t make you a blankie yet!” (She made one for Ki and Elle – not this one – and hasn’t done Fent’s yet.) Cracks me up. You know she likes you if she finds her part, then sets some ni-night on your lap too.

A few days ago, I heard Ella bawling. I asked what was wring and Ki said that Ella’s ni-night got caught on the door and the binding ripped all the way off. I did a little trimming and sewed around the edge, then sewed the tail on until I could get to Jo-Ann’s. She pulled it around by the tail for a day until it ripped off again. The blanket would be trailing a few yards behind. It was funny.

Today we made it to Jo-Ann’s and she picked out pink bias tape. I sewed it around the edge and she wasn’t too pleased. Then I sewed what was left of the old edge on top. Mike had cut part of it off a few weeks earlier. Gramma had the idea to make a loop for her finger.

And I made sure to leave a tail and go over the end a few times so it stayed on.

She had to test it out. Still not pleased about the pink. 😉

Here’s hoping it holds up for a while and doesn’t need washing! The body of the blanket is getting pretty threadbare. Not sure how I’d fix that…

Ki:  Ella, this is your teacher. Mom is your teacher.

Ella:  And this (patting Fenton) is my granddaughter.

Ki:  I’ll be the waiter.

Ella:  And I’ll be the quarter.

from Gramma…

30 minutes with Ki and Ella:
Hanging with Ki after he had breakfast and getting ready to do Leslie Sansone’s Walk the Walk. Ella wakes up and has to go potty. Got that done and we are fetching undies to replace the overnight diaper. Ki, chasing her, smacks her bare butt. “No, Ki,” she cries, “I’m wiped!” Ella eats breakfast while Ki and I exercise and listen to David Jeremiah’s Turning Points on the Internet. Ki quits and starts playing Wolverines and the X-men on his leap pad. Ella exercises with me a bit then goes to join Ki on the couch. “Ki, is that Gramma?” “No, Ella! That’s the Hulk!” I better start doing more than walking the walk! LOL

Ella is starting to pretend without being told to! “I be Fincene in you be Bustehr.”

Ella figured out how to climb into Ki’s loft bed yesterday. Last night she climbed up there and slept with Ki. So cute! I love my crazy little people.

While I was going to the bathroom this morning, “Mom, I cah wipe you when .. when you pee.
